About Deep South Media

Deep South Media is an independent media and digital production company based in Montgomery, Alabama, built around one simple idea: good media should connect with people.

Founded by Jason Davenport, Deep South Media draws on more than 20 years of experience in broadcasting, audio production, digital media, technology, and content creation. Jason began working in radio and media production in the early 2000s, taking on roles ranging from on-air talent and production to station engineering, programming, and technical operations.

That experience eventually led to the launch of Pulse Media Montgomery in 2006. What began as a local media production company continued to grow and evolve alongside the industry.

Today, that evolution continues as Deep South Media.

The new name reflects a broader vision while maintaining the experience, relationships, and independent approach built over the past two decades. Deep South Media provides audio and video production, digital content creation, website development, podcast production, social media services, media consulting, and other creative solutions for businesses, organizations, broadcasters, and independent creators.

Deep South Media is also the parent media company behind X Lounge Radio, extending our work beyond client services into independent digital broadcasting and original media.

Technology has changed dramatically since we started. The goal has not.
